As Matt Jones predicted merely hours before, Anthony Bennett has cut Kentucky from his list of schools. He will now decide between UNLV (with the hometown advantage and the added benefit of his good friend Khem Birch already signed on there) and Oregon (who is desperate for a forward at this point). I wish Bennett had had time to visit Kentucky before eliminating it- I’m a firm believer that Cal can sell Kentucky basketball on almost anyone who sets foot in Lexington-but there’s still plenty of time for the Cats to fill that last roster spot and stabilize our claim to number one overall recruiting class.

So don’t push the panic button yet, and let’s start speculating. There’s still a lot of fun to be had with this recruiting season.
